It’s that time of year again! We wait all year for the annual Magnolia Run for Epilepsy to come around, and it’s finally almost here! We’re putting together a team of walkers and runners to participate in the run, which this year is being held August 21 at 4 concourse Parkway, by the King and Queen buildings in Sandy Springs.
McCray’s Tavern is proud to be a part of the run and the fundraising efforts for the Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia, an organization that has been putting together the Magnolia Run for an astonishing 38 years. The money raised by the organization goes to create awareness and support for those affected by seizure disorders and epilepsy in Georgia, like Scottie McCray, the son of McCray’s Tavern co-owner Scott McCray.
The McCrays will be leading a team of participants called ‘Sprinting for Seizures’ and invite all of their restaurant patrons to participate or contribute toward this worthy cause. For those wishing to participate, event details can be found online. The early registration deadline is noon on Tuesday, August 17, before prices increase. All participants will get a free t-shirt.
McCray’s Tavern locations will also be serving a cocktail July 5-August 21 specifically in honor of the Magnolia Run. All proceeds of the Iris Paloma purple grapefruit cocktail will be donated to the Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia. This is a great way to get out and support a worthy cause while also dining on classic American fare at our Smyrna tavern location. Let’s get sprinting!
