McCray’s Tavern is gearing up for the 38th annual Magnolia Run for Epilepsy, benefiting the Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia.
The event this year will be held on August 21 at 4 Concourse Parkway in Sandy Springs.
The event will include a 5k and a 1-mile walk/run, and will be held at the green space in front of the King and Queen buildings.
The run helps the foundation raise awareness and support the over 110,000 Georgia residents who live with epilepsy and seizure disorders. Every year for the past 10 years the restaurant has teamed up to raise money for the cause in support of Scottie McCray, who is the son of owner Scott McCray, and suffers from seizures.
The McCray team ‘Sprinting for Seizures’ would like to welcome any and all participants and/or donations. Come walk with us and help raise awareness for this important cause!
Registration is open now, with a $25 fee for walkers and a $30 fee for runners. The early registration deadline is noon on Tuesday, August 17. Fees will increase on August 18.
McCray’s Tavern also welcomes patrons to stop by any of our restaurant locations now through August 21 to try the Iris Paloma, a purple grapefruit cocktail. 100% of the proceeds of the sale of this beverage will be donated to the foundation. The McCray family has helped raise over $100,000 over the past 10 years for this great cause, and we hope everyone can come out and celebrate with us on Saturday, August 21!
McCray’s Tavern has locations in Smyrna, Lawrenceville, Midtown, and East Cobb. Our tavern on the Lawrenceville square serves up American tavern classics including burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers, and features a full bar with over 40 beers on tap.
